Start your morning with a relaxing experience at Lake Kivu—Rwanda’s largest lake. Enjoy a scenic boat ride to explore islands such as Napoleon Island, Amahoro (Peace) Island, and Star Island, where you may spot some primates. After lunch, depart for Volcanoes National Park to prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Venture into the lush Volcanoes National Park, home to the majestic Mountain Gorillas. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, but the encounter is an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. After the trek, enjoy lunch in Musanze and later drive back to Kigali for your outbound flight.
