Expand allCollapse allDay 1: Transfer to Murchison falls
Your safari begins early with a pick-up from your residence in Entebbe at 6:00am to ensure a smooth journey to Murchison Falls National Park, avoiding traffic delays. Your first stopover will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Lunch break will be in Masindi town. Proceed to the top of the falls to capture breathtaking views and take memorable photos. Proceed to your reserved lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Your day starts with an early breakfast followed by an exciting game drive lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours. This safari adventure offers opportunities to observe diverse wildlife such as buffalos, elephants, giraffes, and with luck, even lions and leopards. Return to the lodge for a satisfying lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride along the Nile River to the bottom of the falls. This serene journey allows for close encounters with aquatic wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. After the boat ride, return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Scenic Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is often included in visitors’ itineraries. It is the second-largest park in the country, situated at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, next to Lake Edward and Lake George, which are joined by the Kazinga Channel. The park boasts high biodiversity with landscapes including savannah, bushland, wetlands, and lush forests. You may see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, and possibly predators such as lions, leopards, and serval cats. Ten primate species, including vervet and black-and-white colobus monkeys, are also commonly spotted.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Wake up to an early morning breakfast before heading for a game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot African tree-climbing lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, waterbucks, and warthogs, in addition to at least 200 bird species.
After this amazing 2 to 3-hour activity, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on your journey to Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and incredible biodiversity. The drive offers a glimpse of Uganda's countryside, including rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
Begin your day with an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, guided by expert trackers through Bwindi's dense rainforest. Encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After the trek, immerse yourself in the Batwa cultural experience, learning about the traditions and stories of this indigenous community. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.
Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure
Bid farewell to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as you embark on your journey back to Entebbe. Along the way, enjoy the stunning scenery, with an optional stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping. You will be dropped off at Entebbe Airport in time for your scheduled flight home, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable Ugandan safari.
